Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 40mm 16660 – Black Dial

The 16660 doubled the Sea-Dweller's depth rating to 1,220 metres and introduced a sapphire crystal, unidirectional bezel and the calibre 3035 with quickset date. Collectors call it the Triple Six after its reference. The helium escape valve at nine remains, venting the gas that permeates a case during saturation diving, and the case sits noticeably thicker than a Submariner of the same era.
