Rolex Sea-Dweller 40mm 1665 – Black Dial
The 1665 was built for saturation divers working from helium-filled bells, and Rolex fitted it with a gas escape valve at nine so the case could vent during decompression. There is no Cyclops lens: the thickened acrylic crystal needed a flat, uninterrupted surface. Produced from the late 1960s into the early 1980s in the Double Red and Great White dial variants, driven by the calibre 1570.
