The 16700 closed out the original GMT-Master line between 1988 and 1999, adopting the sapphire crystal and calibre 3175 of the modern era while keeping the single 24-hour hand that moves in step with the main hour hand. Its bidirectional bezel rotates to read a second zone off the ring. Pepsi and black aluminium inserts were both catalogued across the run.
