Rolex Explorer 36mm 114270 – Black Dial

The last 36mm Explorer before Rolex moved the model to 39mm, the 114270 carries solid white gold surrounds on its 3, 6 and 9 numerals and a sapphire crystal in place of the vintage acrylic. The case is compact, the bezel smooth, the dial black and unbroken by a date. It remains the cleanest expression of a watch designed for expedition use and worn mostly in cities.
