Rolex Day-Date 36mm 18038

Introduced in the late 1970s with a quickset date, the 18038 gave the Day-Date its sapphire crystal and a smoother profile than the acrylic-domed 1803 before it. Champagne sunburst finishing shifts with the light behind applied gold batons, while the fluted bezel scatters it. The semi-circular President links are the same ones Rolex designed for the reference in 1956 and has never really needed to change.
