Rolex rebuilt the Air-King in 2016 around the Bloodhound SSC cockpit instrument, and the result reads unlike anything else in the catalogue: a 0-100 minute scale ringing the dial for navigational timing, with oversized 3, 6 and 9 numerals in between. The 40mm Oystersteel case houses a soft iron shield and paramagnetic hairspring for magnetic resistance, and the smooth bezel and green Rolex signature keep the aviation lineage front and centre.
