The 1908 marks Rolex's return to a formal round watch, and this 39mm version is cased in 950 platinum with a fluted bezel and a slim profile far removed from an Oyster. A sapphire caseback exposes caliber 7140, built specifically for the line with a Chronergy escapement, a Syloxi hairspring and a 66-hour reserve. Leaf hands, a sunken small seconds register at six and applied numerals complete the dial.
