This Planet Ocean keeps the 42mm steel case that made the second generation the everyday size in the range, with a unidirectional diving bezel, a screw-down crown and a caseback opened to show the movement. Arrow-tipped hands sit over applied indexes for legibility at depth. Omega's 8500 runs two barrels in series and winds in both directions, and the chronometer certification covers the assembled watch rather than the movement alone.
