The Planet Ocean arrived in 2005 as Omega's serious dive watch, taking its cues from the 1957 Seamaster 300: broad arrow-tipped hands, a heavily luminous bezel scale and a case built for pressure rather than proportion. This 42mm steel version runs a unidirectional bezel with an orange-marked aluminium insert and a screw-down crown, and the Co-Axial escapement inside marked Omega's first large-scale departure from the standard Swiss lever.
