The Portugieser began as a wristwatch built around a pocket-watch movement for Portuguese merchants who wanted marine-chronometer accuracy, and the chronograph keeps that oversized, instrument-clean look: a narrow bezel, long leaf hands and applied Arabic numerals spread across a wide dial. Two registers at six and twelve handle elapsed minutes and running seconds, so the layout stays symmetrical. The 41mm steel case sits behind a solid back over IWC's 79350.
