Where the Santos 100 goes big, the Santos-Dumont goes thin. Cartier rebuilt this model in 2019 around a high-efficiency quartz movement so the case could drop to roughly seven millimetres, with softly curved flanks and a gently domed sapphire. The 43.5mm by 31.4mm steel case is bolder lengthwise than it looks on the wrist, and the dial holds painted Roman numerals, a rail-track minute ring and blued-steel sword hands.
