Rolex Explorer 39mm 214270 – Black Dial

Rolex grew the Explorer to 39mm with the 214270, keeping the layout that came out of the 1953 Everest expedition: a black dial, 3, 6 and 9 numerals, and nothing else. Early examples used short hands and painted numerals, while the 2016 update filled the numerals with luminous material and lengthened the hands. The calibre 3132 adds Paraflex shock absorbers and a Parachrom hairspring.
