White gold makes the Day-Date discreet, and the 18239 hides its content behind a metal most people read as steel. The fluted bezel, President bracelet and concealed Crownclasp are all 18k, and the calibre 3155 inside carries double quickset correction. Produced from 1988 into the early 2000s, it is the sapphire-crystal generation that preceded the current 128239.
