The Lange 1 defined the Saxon manufacture's revival in 1994 with an asymmetric layout that keeps the main time display, subsidiary seconds, outsize date and power-reserve indicator from ever overlapping. Reference 101.021 works that architecture in 18k yellow gold at 38.5mm, a warm-toned reading of the model that suits leather. Through the sapphire back sit German silver plates, gold chatons and a hand-engraved balance cock finished by a single engraver.
