Rolex Submariner Date 40mm 16610 – Black Dial

The 16610 is the Submariner most people picture: 40mm steel, a black aluminium bezel insert, and the calibre 3135 that ran from 1988 until the ceramic generation arrived in 2010. A Triplock crown seals the case to 300 metres, the unidirectional bezel counts elapsed dive time, and the Oyster bracelet gained solid links on later examples. Two decades of quiet refinement without a redesign.
