Rolex built the 1908 as a dress watch inside the Perpetual line, and this 39mm example uses 18 ct yellow gold with a fluted bezel and a case slim enough to disappear under a cuff. The transparent caseback shows caliber 7140, designed for the model with a Chronergy escapement and a 66-hour reserve. Small seconds sit in a sunken register at six, and the leather strap closes on a Dualclasp.
