The Aquanaut arrived in 1997 as Patek's younger, more casual answer to the Nautilus, keeping the rounded octagon but swapping the gold bracelet for a moulded composite strap the house calls Tropical. This 34mm steel version carries the embossed checkerboard dial pattern that mirrors the strap's texture, applied luminous numerals and a date at three. A quartz movement suits the size and keeps the case slim on the wrist.
