Cartier built the Santos around a bezel that shows its screws, and the large steel version keeps that industrial detail at 39.8mm across. Underneath, the in-house 1847 MC runs at 4Hz with a magnetic shield, and the bracelet detaches on a hidden QuickSwitch button so a strap can take its place in seconds. Sword hands and painted Roman numerals sit under a flat sapphire, with a chemin de fer track around the edge.
