The 33mm Ballon Bleu keeps the automatic movement of the larger sizes in a case that reads more compact, its rounded flanks and domed crystal giving it presence out of proportion to the diameter. Cartier's crown guard sweeps into the dial to protect the blue cabochon, bending the Roman numerals as it passes. The steel bracelet leaves the case without visible lugs and tapers to a folding clasp.
